Ziggy Rocks

Having recently visited Ziggys bar in Tuckey Street, (Friday 22nd Oct) I feel I have to comment on the wonderful experience we had. We were greeted by Darren, a charming young man who’s attention to detail and service was impeccable. After we were seated, he promptly took our order and returned to our table with a tray full of drinks in a mannerly fashion. He was such a polite young man. Nothing was an effort for him. He looked after us for the night, checking in every now and again to know if there was anything he could do for us. Such a gem in this day and age. Look after him guys. He’s a keeper.

What a fantastic bar and Ziggy (Jim) was a pleasure to meet. Took the time to show me around the bar and explain everything about it . A must place to visit if your in Cork and into Rory Gallagher,Status Quo ,Phil Lynott , Garry Moore Great bar ,staff and local’s don’t miss it

Had 3 drinks here with my partner. We both loved the place. Bar man was very relaxed and we loved the music. Really nice atmosphere there too. Can’t wait to return.

I’ve had pints a few times in Ziggy’s and quite enjoyed my time. Unfortunately a bad experience has put me off the place. I went to meet some friends for a pint, as I was walking in someone opened the door in my face making me take a step back, it was an awkward entrance. I went to the bar,and a bald man in a t shirt came up to me and said something to me but I couldn’t hear him over the noise. I said "what?" and he said I had stumbled in the door and pushed me by the chest away from the bar. I realised then he must have been working there because of his jazz weekend t-shirt. I tried to tell him I hadn’t even had my first drink yet but he just turned away from me. Honestly just a very unpleasant experience, sure then we just went to Fred Zepplins and had a good night.

I like the place otherwise, I just really don’t think it’s okay for a member of staff to get physical like that without warning.

Absolute top!!! A rockpub that’s a blueprint for a rockpub. Forget the lauzy mondial hardrockcafe. Holland loves Rory and Phill!!!!

Regular customer over last 3 years had many a good day and night there. Family and friends always enjoyed experience but on Sunday 23rd of Sept a family member was refused entry due to dress code by bar staff but on a Wed prior to the 23rd wearing the same type clothes drank with the same bar staff member was refused entry wearing the same type of attire. When asked why? bar staff took back seat and a member of the public who admitted knowing us spoke very rudely. We as a whole are very taken aback by this experience as we have mentioned before we really enjoyed this pub.

We visited a few times in our stay at Cork and it was brilliant. On one of our visits we met James and he was an absolute star.

Fantastic such a great welcome Fab guy behind the bar first visit on Saturday night came back on Sunday for a cure felt so Good if living in cork or on a visit please find your way to this pub it’s amazing
