Very very good food

What a nice surprise. I arrived here with my wife, mother in law and two kids aged 12 and 10. As it was end of season i was not expecting too much but we had a really excellent meal. The batter on the fish and the chicken tenders was light and homemade and the chips were demolished by all. Zingy lemon pie was a highlight as was the value. 3 mains and two starter mains, 3 desserts, 2 pints of Smithwicks and a coffee for €84. All five of us fed, full and happy out!

Lovely Food, Welcoming Atmosphere

Stopped here with the family (and dog) after a late afternoon swim in Inverin, on way home to Galway City. We sat outside, enjoyed two beautiful vegetarian dishes and a very flavoursome chicken dish, and were looked after by a friendly, experienced waitress. A lot of care and thought has clearly gone into the food here which is prepared using fresh local ingredients. We took home some of their homemade biscuits which were absolutely delicious! Will definitely be pulling in here again. Great place, great food. Did I mention the view of Galway Bay from the restaurant..... :-)

Just home from an overnight

Just home from an overnight stay in Tir na Nog with my husband, two kids and dog. We had a brilliant time. The family room was big and comfy with a lovely en suite. The staff were all so lovely. For dinner I had the Langoustines with sourdough.. Devine ???? my husband had the steak sandwich and said that it was the best he ever had. We also had the chilli nachos which were delicious too. The owner Nadia bakes the most delicious brown bread and cookies. She also gave our dog home made dog biscuits. Breakfast was also delicious. We can’t wait to back again. Thanks guys ❀️

Excellent spot for a family meal

It was a hot day when we landed at TΓr na NΓ³g. We were seated outdoors and very quickly served with drinks; their Guinness is excellent, cold with a creamy head, just the thing on a hot day. From there things only got better. I went for traditional fish and chips and have to say that it is among the best I've ever had. Beautiful thin, crisp batter, perfectly cooked. The chips tasted like they came straight out of fresh oil. The peas were cooked with mint and coated in butter. The salad came with some delicious pickled carrots and onions and a dip of good mayo. The staff were friendly, the service was prompt and the atmosphere was great with the staff chatting to each other in Irish. The perfect lunch, if you are in the area, I definitely recommend.

Amazing food with quality ingredients

This is a lovely gastropub with very friendly staff. I highly recommend their fish and chips, you won’t be disappointed! The batter on the fish was light and crispy, the chips were so flavourful, the peas were mint infused and butter coated and the carrot and onion slices were perfectly pickled. I would also recommend their β€˜Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri’, it’s divine!
