Great host and amazing views
I had a solo holiday in Kerry and I am so glad I picked Thidwick as my B&B. Clare was very helpful in telling me the best places to go hiking and which were the best views (The Kerry Cliffs were wonderful and I would have missed them otherwise). The bed was very comfortable and the view from my room was incredible out over the bay. Breakfast was delicious, from the muesli through to the Irish fry I treated myself to on one of the mornings. Very good all round.

Absolutely Lovely!
Clare organized a brilliant week-long expedition on the Ring of Kerry tailored for our party of six. Clare and Dezy gave us guidance on the local favorite restaurants and out-of-the way attractions. Her local driver is a true gem of a tour guide and story teller as he and Clare took us through some back roads and locales that included the must-see sites as well as the unusual. We chose the dates to coincide with the charming Small Roads Theater Festival in Kenmare. For breakfasts Clare took care of our gluten-free needs, and gave us a hearty base on which to start a full day of hiking, driving, and experiencing the ancient and recent history. We sincerely recommend Thidwick to anyone seeking a personal, homey Irish experience that you just won't find on a large tour bus or large city. …

Amazing, best stay of our 3 week trip!
My wife and I hiked the Kerry way and had the pleasure of staying with Clare. Her house is breathtaking. Our room was big and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast was amazing, Clare puts a lot of time into her food choices and it was certainly top notch. Clare made us dinner reservations and then took us and picked us back up that evening. Of all the B&Bs we stayed at this one was by far the best, our only regret was not staying 2 nights to spend more time on those amazing beaches. We will certainly stay here again.

Amazing! Great views, great rooms, great hostess!
Like everyone else, I was hypnotized by the views overlooking the mountains and the sea. Our room was big, clean and comfortable. Clare was a great hostess, driving us back and forth from the pub. Great breakfast. We were off to continue our hike the next morning, so Clare made us sandwiches for a reasonable price. We had a great time and like someone else said, it was hard to leave.

Wonderful visit!
It's hard to imagine a more spectacular view than we had from our room (and breakfast room) at Thidwick's. And Clare is a warm host who makes the best omelet I've ever tasted in a B&B. Our two nights in Derrynane were a total delight. HIghly recommended!
