The Widows Bar

Grest music and atmosphere on a Sunday night. Celtic fusion were brilliant staff were so helpful and friendly.

Called in one evening as they were advertising Irish music 21.30 till late,we arrived at 21.00 got served drinks by the friendly bar staff and fond a seat, had a chat with some of the locals and there was sport on tree different T.V. screens.The bar is a bit dark but that is not unusual in these town bars.Although there was a table reserved by the door for the musicians no one had turned up by 22.20 so gave up and left as we had an early start the next morning,Nice bar shame we missed the music if they tuned up.

As pubs go, this is a real gem. The style is traditional and feels very natural; with wood aplenty; and stone walls and floors. Some traditional bars try too hard to look traditional, but this has a real country feel. In winter a wood burning stove creates a warm and homely atmosphere.
If you’re in to sport, this is the place for soccer, gaa, horse racing etc.
You will find live music here every weekend.

A great bar and one that is a must visit.

we called in here while on a boating holiday on the Erne. It is a really lovely unspoilt bar with extremely friendly and helpful staff (we needed phones and i pads charging etc and we needed coats drying out). Well worth a visit if you like the authentic Irish bar.

A short stay just for the football and a few pints.
The pints were great and the staff were more than helpful.
Great place to go if you are in the area for a weekend.
