Lovely little pub

A lovely, cosy pub with a great atmosphere. Good is well priced and delicious. Fire burning encouraging visitors to stay a little longer on a Winters night. A buzzing atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the vicinity.

Breakfast after the ferry

Pub that serves breakfast, limited selection which isn't a bad thing. Food was good and hot and reasonably priced.

Lovely pub

We stopped on the way to the ferry for some lunch / the owner and his wife were lovely and gave us a map of the area and a coastal route when we got off the ferry - I had the vegetarian salad and chips and my husband fish and chips and both were great - lovely place to stop after a visit to the Tarbert Bridewell Historical Jailhouse.

Charming place

Charming pun near the ferry and the woodlands trail. The cod was very good. Nice roaring fire and the staff and other customers were super friendly.

Lovely

Nice friendly staff and lovely tasty food. Very nice and kind to a two year old who couldn't stay quiet.

Hidden gem

We are glad we didn't pass up this place! Don't be put off by the quirky name. When we walked in there is a separate door leading into either the bar section or the restaurant/lounge area. We could hear the bar was very lively, but when we went into the lounge it was quiet, unassuming and not very crowded. There were only a few locals having some sandwiches and the menu was basic and to the point. We were very worried at first and came very close to walking out but glad we didn't. We decided to try the specials which was roast lamb and bacon and cabbage. Both were really good! The lamb was so tender I could practically cut it with a fork. It was the best I had had in years! Don't pass up on the desserts which were spectacular. By U.S standards you might find the service horrible because you are not being pestered every two minutes asking if you want something else, but we never felt forgotten. We felt the service was excellent. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The prices were excellent and food quality first rate! If I could give six stars I would.
