Great spot for lunch
We popped by by for a light lunch in this fresh feeling cafe that feels very country but is in the town .. it has a friendly atmosphere and a good local following with staff seeming to know most customers by name.. we had a filling delicious lunch with homemade local produce a very nice experience

Lovely lunch
We stopped in for lunch this week after enjoying breakfast here a couple of years ago. The staff were really friendly and food was amazing. Will definitely go back when we’re visiting ballina again

We stopped in for a late breakfast. Very clean and inviting. I had the buttermilk pancakes with bacon and my husband had the full Irish. The pancakes were cooked fresh to order - perfect. So no soggy rubbery pancakes! Delish The full Irish was very taste - perfectly cooked. Highly recommend and we will be back.

A Fantastic Place and Fantastic People!
We had breakfast here on 3 occasions this week! The cafe is lovely and has a great atmosphere, fantastic food and the staff were friendly and efficient. Great care with cleaning tables noted! Thanks to John for his friendly chat and also a HUGE thanks for the lovely scones for our journey back to Cork! We will definitely go back when next in Ballina! Thanks to All! Angela and Colin.

Best food in town
Delicious food.I had the Fishermans platter and a lovely coffee.My daughter had the lovely wholesome homemade Leek and Potato soup with brown bread and a Cajun Chicken and cheese wrap.We shared a dessert of a maltesers Brownie.Everything was top class.Excellent friendly,helpful staff.We cannot wait for our next spin to Ballina and the Post House.

Warm and friendly
Enjoyed a really great lunch in The Post House. The chowder has attracted lots of positive reviews and certainly didn't disappoint. The staff are clearly very passionate about the level of service they provide - appears to be a firm favourite with locals at lunchtime which is a great sign. Pity I didn't find this gem on my previous visits. Would definitely go back for some of the other lunch offerings.

Genuinely Lovely Staff and wholesome food
Honestly John and his staff were the friendliest people we’ve met in a long time. They took such interest in our 3 Kids and even took them into the kitchen to meet the chefs. We had a beautiful lunch here and went back for a tasty breakfast the following morning that kept us going the whole day. Menus will suit everyone and there’s a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it more, enjoy!

Best Chowder in Ireland
If you enjoy great service and salmon loaded chowder then the post house is the place to go! Sad we don’t live closer so we could be regulars. Their brown bread is fantastic too.
