Gem of a pub
Head straight to the back of the pub when you head in, it’s chalk and cheese from the moment you walk into the front to the back bar.
Pub is full of character, really good bohemian vibe to it, nice crowd, good Guinness. Few TVs around too if there’s a bit of sport on the box. Nice beer garden out back too. Staff all very nice.
Lovely chipper directly facing it across the road if you fancy brining in some grub (they don’t serve food so it’s all good). All in all, fantastic pub in the heart of Stoneybatter, 10min walk from Capel st in the city centre or 3/4 mins from the LUAS. Absolute gem well worth visiting.

A worth visit
Great atmosphere, cozy, comfortable, good music (it has a jukebox) and a decent range of beers and drinks. Big disappointment that they are not showing football matches, I hope just for a while. Anyways it is worth to visit the place.

A first time for everything! Go visit!
We visited the Glimmer Man Pub for the first time recently. What an interesting Pub with loads of nooks and crannies to explore! There is a huge variety of vintage paraphernalia assembled around the premises including a double bed hanging from the rafters with Maggie Thatcher and Charlie Haughey ensconced there. The bar staff were really friendly and Brian delighted in introducing us to a Cobra’s head stuffed inside a glass jar marinating in some type of alcohol! There is also a huge darts board for those so inclined and the price of a pint of Guinness is extremely competitive! A really authentic Dublin pub and well worth the experience!

Always enjoyable
If you ever find yourself in the Stoneybatter area of Dublin, then a visit to The Glimmer Man is a must.
Easy to get to from the city centre, thanks to the Luas Red line from Tallaght to The Point, or the 39A on the Dublin Bus network, you’ll be given a warm welcome - Stoneybatter is reputedly one of the friendliest neighbourhoods in the city - by staff and locals alike, as they invite you to enjoy the “craic”....I haven’t laughed so much in ages, and I cannot wait to return!

A pub combining its history with the present and looking to the future
This is a pub with the (very) dark snug-based interior of classic older Dublin pubs and containing many locals within. And then out in the air the "court" yard area is full of the new arrivals to Stoneybatter in all their variety. Then add in a Vietnamese Food Cart(?) and the odd sleeping native, deafening music, a World Cup match and decent pints and welcome to the future. It was gas, just be prepared for the mayhem.

NOT MUCH GLIMMER IN THIS PLACE,
Efficient service, though not with a smile and reasonable prices, it was so dark in here you could barely see anything which was a pity because seemed to be lots of old memorabilia on all the shelves, even an old bicycle hanging from the ceiling, would have been nice to see this stuff properly. Shame about the slot machines! No ambience whatsoever.
