Sweet little mystery
Sweet because everything is homemade. We had scones and coffee cake. They were great. Coffee is delicious and it’s proper tea..We didnt have mains but judging by the quality of the food we had I suspect it’s great.
Ideal stop if you are travelling that stunning drive from Sligo to Ballina
Perfect if you are cycling and need a pit stop.
Staff are relaxed helpful and friendly.
Mysterious because it’s called the Village cafe now and it’s invisible online!
Easy to find. You reach the Ncf agricultural store and it’s across the road.
Deserves to be packed! Go find it when it’s still quiet.

Ive eaten here twice. The food is really for foodies, its not your usual run of the mill cafe, it has good, fresh, homemade produce and there is a fantastic crafts store attached. I had the best ever cheese scones here, produced locally.

Hidden gem in West Sligo
Located on the main road (N59) between Beltra and Dromore West, in an area called Skreen, the Fairgreen was once a very popular dance hall called the Coragh dTonn. It has been given new life as an art gallery, café, and also offers crafts featuring beautiful wood, fiber, pottery, jewelry, etc., from local artisans. Anne-Marie is a warm and hospitable host and the staff are extremely friendly providing good food and a decent cup of coffee. A wonderful gem in West Sligo. Open Wednesday-Sunday, 10am-6pm. Well worth a visit if you are travelling through Sligo toward Mayo or Donegal on N59. The old ballroom is still intact and available for event rentals.
