The Corner Deli, Buncrana

In good old ireland the word "deli" has become synonymous with that back wall in a supermarket churning out very poor quality food in foil bags churned out by angry middle aged ladies or unfriendly teenagers...the complete opposite of what a deli is and should be. Of course I entered the corner deli in Buncrana this morning with a hint of skepticism...the only place open due to current restrictions as it is take away only otherwise I would have opted for a comfy seat somewhere. I knew as soon as i entered it was going to be good...a lot of different breads, proper bakery stuff...cheese bread, tomato bread and a counter packed with fresh looking ingredients like olives, gherkins etc...all fresh looking and lively. There was so much going in I got confused and the very nice lady behind the counter recommended a "Manwich" which she toasted and a wrapped... I left and got stuck into it in my car...i felt like I had left a deli in Manhatton New York, wrapped in lovely brown paper and in a paper bag, my cheese bread MANWICH was quite simply delicious...where have these people been! This is what a deli should be!

The nicest pasteries, breads and salads you're likely to get anywhere..not to mention the scones and hot chocolate ????

Have to leave a review for this artisan bakery. Amazing scones, cinnamon rolls, breads and that’s just the early morning treats. Have used this deli for catering events at work and their sandwiches are the real deal. Freshly baked bread, wonderful combo of fillings, fresh wholesome salads and you have to try their caramel squares and other sweet treats. You won’t be disappointed. We are lucky to have this in our town. Keep up the good work guys.

I got a salad here at lunch time. It was delicious, very healthy, fresh, tasty and good value for money. The staff all seemed very nice and friendly aslo.

I send everyone I know here. If you are visiting Buncrana call in to this little Bakery and grab yourself a Salad, A Homemade Scone (Pear is my fav) , A Loaf of Bread and some delicious buns. The staff are brilliant. Best thing to ever open in Buncrana xx

This excellent bakery offers so much in a small space. Everything is freshly made each day and its not expensive. The breads are delicious and great value. You can buy a slice of their specialty breads or the whole loaf. Sandwiches are made to order with fresh ingredients and salads are great value.Don't leave town with out a caramel square. Birthday cakes are made to order.

I walked in off the street because I liked the look of the place, and got 2 sandwiches, 2 cakes and 2 drinks to take away for a picnic. And I'm still thinking about that sandwich a week later! The bread was homemade and incredible, and my sandwich was just beautiful. The cakes were gorgeous too (lovely caramel square!). The guys serving were really nice, and went above and beyond to make my vegetarian sandwich delicious. The homemade breads looked gorgeous too, and it was excellent value. Would love to go back!

Absolutely love this place. Best salads ever!! Everything in this place is gorgeous - genuinely beautiful. The two boys put their hearts and souls into their work and it shows. Very busy at lunch, so you'll be queuing outside the door. Not a bad complaint. Love it!
