A must do whilst in Derry

An excellent centre that tells the story of Bloody Sunday in a powerful way. This centre is an eye opener to anybody who saw the events of Bloody Sunday on the British news programmes at the time. Well worth visiting

Sad simple reminder of the history here

Simple memorial and collection of details from this area and all the trouble and tragedies. It was very touching and informative

Learn recent history

This exhibit tells the story of the "troubles" in an unbiased non judgmental way. It is very well done and a must see if you wish to understand the conflict.

Small but powerful

Our guide was the grandson of someone killed on that day. He went through a brief history of what happened and then directed us to the exhibits. The total floorspace is small but we spent quite some time there. Exhibits got a bit crowded but the photos and videos were well documented. There is no doubt about the viewpoint of those running this museum but they tell the story well and I felt I got a relatively unbiased rendition of the facts. The neighborhood is CLEARLY Nationalist but we were not put off by that and we felt that in fact the museum captured a sample of the events and made us feel empathy with the victims and their families. Anyone with an open mind should visit and here the message.
