Love the space in the Ark and all the free, really creative stuff they have on for kids. Staff are lovely too!

Lego Movie Workshop
My two children went to the Lego Movie Workshop and enjoyed a couple of hours in the afternoon making a stop motion movie. They were given it as a Christmas gift which I think was a nice idea instead of giving them more toys! They brought along their favourite Lego characters and were shown how to make a movie using a stop motion app on a tablet. A few weeks later we were able to see it online and download it. They enjoyed it on the whole although I think they could’ve appreciated a longer movie, but it was a good way to show them how simple movies can be made. They can download the app onto their tablet and make their own movies at home.

Get in out of the rain
We stumbled across The Ark and we pleasantly surprised. Lovely exhibition and staff extremely friendly and attentive! The kids were able to draw and have a go at making their own clay sculptures.

Tired of half-baked performances
Went all the way in to the Ark yesterday for a show called ’Conor at the edge of the Universe’. This has been my third or fourth visit to the Ark in the past year for various things. This show was very short (less than 40 minutes) and was inappropriate for the age as advertised 4-6 year olds. In my vast experience of bringing the kids to shows the rating should be 2-3 year olds max.
I will not be attending the Ark again for any shows as it is such an ordeal getting in there and then the shows are very short or watered-down. Thanks for a luke-warm contribution to my kids’ lives!

Awesome place for kids...and adults!
This was a last minute stop to get out of the rain and try to find something fun for my 2 year old to do. It was awesome! She was able to color, play with clay, do crafts, lounge in some chairs and read. I got to check out some local art and it appears that they constantly have new things going on. Definitely check it out if you’re looking for something to do with your kids.

Must visit with kids!
What a wonderful place! We visited during a weekend break in Dublin and there was a show on at the time. Reasonably priced tickets, fantastic interactive show, enthusiastic staff that made the children feel special. We really enjoyed it! Seem to have different activities on so make sure to check before you go!

Great visit
We visited when the put yourself in the picture workshop was on and it was great. The kids got to to a self portrait, wrote a story about themselves, drew a picture of themselves on the walls and got an instant picture taken. It was recommended by a friend as we had never been before. All the staff were full of great energy and so helpful. Book ahead if you are planning a visit! The workshops are all free but you can give a donation.
