Good food
I decided to eat here because I didn't arrive until about 8:30pm after a long day of travelling. The food was very good that I ordered. I had the chicken wings and as promised from the description they were hot. To follow I had the steak which was excellent but thinking back the chicken wings were so good and juicy maybe I should have had two portions of them. The service was very good and friendly

We've been eating at McSweeneys for more than 30 years!
My wife and I live in the UK and visit Killarney at leats once a year. We make a beeline for the Sandtrap Bar & Grill at McSweeneys! The food is always great, all thye staff are always welcoming and it's like coming home! We.ve eaten in most of the otgher hotels and restaurants over the years but always return to McSweeneys - definitely the BEST!!!!

Great food and atmosphere.
McSweeneys Hotel and Sandtrap Bar Restaurant is perfectly placed in the heart of Killarney. Everything is within a few minutes walk. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the accommodation great and the food excellent. Tony and daughter Kelly Anne run a great establishment. Call in for a beer and maybe a meal in this sports themed but very tastefully decorated place. Can't recommend highly enough. With all the options available in Killarney, I would always stay there.

Amazing Food & Wonderful Atmosphere
I came to the Sandtrap Bar & Grill for a beer while visiting Killarney and fell in love with the place. The beer was amazing, but I was drawn to how welcome I felt as soon as I walked in. The staff was so attentive and really made sure I was taken care of. After sitting for a while, I ordered some food and it was so yummy. The bar felt like a home away from home and I knew I picked the right spot. Thanks for an amazing experience!

Great Pub
Met very interesting locals and had great conversation! Bartenders extremely personable, we had great service. Didn’t eat, but had a great afternoon having drinks.

Helpful to say the least
We went here twice during our stay the staff were great on both occasions answering any questions we had the first time and on the second time sorting televisions out so we could watch or sport on one set while what I think were local customers watched what they wanted on another one really friendly people
