Fabulous meal

Burger Heaven

I visited McCabes in August with 3 friends from Scotland. We all had Burgers and they were the best we had ever tasted. The service was exemplary in these difficult time and despite the distance I will definitely return to this gem.

Best Gastro Pub in Salthill, if not Galway city..!

Lovely, brand new Gastro Pub opened recently in Salthill, Galway city. As someone new to the city, the staff here made me feel so welcome from day one. They are super-friendly, super-efficient and led by a manager (Andrea, I think!) who does not miss a single detail. At a time when most service businesses are struggling to find decent staff, McCabes seems to have a strong, organised team who know what they are doing regardless of how busy things get. The food is great also and the atmosphere is lively but family-friendly. Well done all! Highly recommended.

Gastro pub lives up to its name

Went for dinner here and had Seafood Chowder and a helping of mussels. Both were excellent. Given the difficulty of getting in anywhere due to reduced capacity (covid) and it being Saturday evening , the staff were very nice and accommodating. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Tasty spot..

Had lunch and evening meals here... On both occasions it was excellent... Staff were very good, social distancing respected... The food was too good so hence we came back for an evening meal.. Recommend the spicy beef wrap and fish and chips, speaking of chips.. the best chips I’ve had in years... Defo return on next visit..
