Excellent Seafood Restaurant

It is some years since My wife and I had Lunch in Quinlans. Last weekend we were spending 2 nights in Cork and having read the TA reviews we decided to reserve a Table for the Friday and later we decided that we would also book a table for the Saturday. We were met at the door by Amy, whom we had read about in TA reports and all were correct regarding her Professionalism We were given a Table in the "New" section of the Restaurant and Amy handed us over to Conor who was to look after us for the evening. We had an excellent Meal served and prepared in a very professional manner. Saturday night was no different despite the Restaurant being full on both nights. Again we were looked after by Conor and again the meal was excellent with a wide and varied choice of Seafood. In particular I enjoyed the Chowder and Scallops and my wife loved the Fishcakes so much that she had them on both evenings. We cant wait to go back to Quinlans and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone visiting Cork.

Reliably great

Quinlan's is one of our favorite restaurants in Cork. If you like great fish and chips (we recommend the hake), fabulous tempura prawns, and any number of other seafood delights -- go! The new expanded indoor seating is fab with lovely booths, the staff couldn't be nicer or more accomodating, and there's a good wine list. We generally go for lunch and the prices are really reasonable and the service speedy and terrific.

Seafood Bar as it should be

Four of us with a great 'booth' style table for many bottles and plates! Buzzy atmosphere with the high velocity chef team visible behind the pass. Greedy reviewer ordered a doz oysters (assuming there would be table theft from other diners and there was) but they were huge... by the time I got to number 10 I was thinking a few less would have been fine. Followed by crab claws sizzling in garlic butter (think gambas spanish style sort of thing) which were fabulous.

Great food and service

Cork was really busy with the Jazz festival but Amy managed to find a table for us. We had eaten at Quinlans in Killarney and were expecting good food. Once again, we were not disappointed. Everything cooked to perfection, especially the sticky toffee pudding. I wish we had Quinlans in the UK! What also makes Quinlans special though is the staff.

Gluten free Dairy free

As a coeliac with lots of other allergies and intolerances, I was looked after soo well. The waitress took note of all, walked me through the menu of what I could have (most!) And double checked with the chef to make sure none of the things on my list would be in my choices. Came back twice to double check on other ingredients for a dressing. I felt very reasured. Had a beautiful meal of smoked salmon salad with gf bread and panfried plaice with the best chips I've had in years. Great service, cosy place to sit inside, loved it. Will go back!
