Galway, a mini Amsterdam

We really liked Galway and the action is all in and near the Latin Quarter. There is about a 70,000 perm pop here with another 25,000 college students and they all party in about a 5 block radius in and near the Latin Quarter. A fun town!

Bit over rated for what it is

We went as part of a day trip to the Great Cliffs of Moher. The street is nice and picturesque but nothing in particular to look at except the usual Irish tat gift shops ! We took refuge in one of the many pubs with outside seating and people watched until the coach was departing !!! Not particularly worth a visit unless you are passing through.

Bars and Restaurants

A street where you can fin a lot of bars and restaurants and some shops. It is a lively street but doesn’t offer anything special.

Always hustle and bustle

Galway is a place I’d describe as "Rustically Modern" as it has a nice mix of medieval landmarks, cool architecture and amazing food. The most place this is evident is on Quay Street.

Weekend away

We went for a weekend to Galway and stayed in the Rennaissance Hotel on Quay Street. Good location because the many bars and restaurants. We enjoyed to sit outside with a drink and listen to musicians.
