An oasis of peace, beauty and tranquillity with superb views(weather allowing over Strangford Lough!)
Somehow you always end up meeting interesting people at Nendrum, artists, photographers and a wide assortment of locals and tourists. A useful little on site "museum" explains much of the history. mainly it is just a lovely place to visit and soak up all of the peaceful vibes!

Great views
The road down to the site is hairy to say the least. Once you get there it is worth the trip. We’ll sign posted and explained. Great to walk the dogs

Historical site
A nice place to drive to within a short distance of Comber. There are steps and a short walk around ancient ruins with scenic views surrounding.

A secret place for a quiet afternoon
One of my favourite places since childhood, no matter where in the world, I look forward to getting back here. Not much to do, certainly not a ‘walk’ but a perfect secret, scared spot to take a blanket and a book.

superb ancient monastic site
remains of an ancient site, complete with sundial. There are the remains of the round tower and chapel and visitor information. Very peaceful, its pretty out of the way down some narrow roads, and there aren’t usually many other people there.

Ancient history with great vistas of Strangford Lough
Incredible to think of this deep history in such an amazing quiet place with a serene feel to it given its location on the Lough.
The sense of the place and on the information boards makes you realise how significant this place was and is.
Just standing looking over the Logh thinking of how it was all that time ago.

Superb tour with a fantastic guide
Four of us booked a tour of the site and it was a really informative and enjoyable trip. The guide, Tom, was an archeologist so he was extremely knowledgeable and made the whole hour and a half come to life. I would recommend this to both visitors to Northern Ireland and locals.
