Something different

Visited with Granddaughter who was delighted to be able to dress up in old fashioned clothes and play with old fashioned toys, Great information on the history of the house and nice to be able to see around it. Unfortunately the weather was very cold on the day we visited so we were restricted to indoors. Will be back again in the better weather to get the full experience.

Interesting

This is a very quick stop but very interesting if you like history. This is one of the oldest thatch roof houses in Northern Ireland and the same family lived here for over 200-ish years. You can see the home and learn about the family life through the years.

Very well preserved Thatched Cottage

This is a very well kept and preserved site. There’s not much to see other than the house itself, but we got a 15 minute personal guided tour through the house and enjoyed the history and the background stories. It costs £5 to get in if you are not a National Trust Member so its quite expensive for the time spent there. However, all the rooms are well presented and give you the flavour of how life was played out in this cottage.

Good for all the family

Lots to do and see. The day we went there were animals to pet and feed, games and rides for the children and a tour of the house.

House maintained to resemble life years ago

House with decorations of years past, the entry is with your ticket to the downhill area and worth a stop...just self tour through the house to see what life was like way back when
