Guinness to die for!
We popped into this bar hoping for a decent pint and a bit of shelter from the cold. What a delightful discovery to find a warm fire, a fantastic pint of Guinness, and a hearty welcome from the owner. We were disappointed we couldn’t stay for longer but now we’ve discovered it, we will definitely be back!

Great little pub.
Pat a good host and landlord, friendly customers. Well kept beer and a good selection of spirits. Reasonable prices. A good mix of clientele. Free fast WiFi.

Always welcome-
A great place to stop for a pint. You are always welcomed. It’s a great place to catch up on the local news or how the local fishing is doing.

Friendly and Homely and original
There is a lovely blend of locals and tourists, old and young. Cosmopolitan and an original pub. Hard to find anymore. Worth a visit for sure.

An Irish pub with an Irish welcome
If you want to experience a real Irish pub then this is for you.
I’m not sure the word pub is even accurate. A step back in time is definitely a good description with original furniture etc from a bye gone age with the best Guinness in Ireland. Pat and Martha are fab people and even serve a wonderful cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit for the ladies. Real coal fire in the winter and all round spotless establishment. Definitely worth a visit.

I went to school in Foxford
When ever I’m in the town I always pop in for one of the finest pints of Guinness in the country and that I’m confident off as I have drank at St James gate Dublin and it isn’t as good as this place. Well done and see you again in February when I’m over in Pontoon.
