Future Shock

I surprised my son with a visit to Future Shock yesterday. Being a pretty hardcore gamer you should have seen his eyes light up the minute we walked through the door. At first sight the place is visually impressive and insanely kitted out.

Having played a little VR way back in it’s infancy some twenty five years ago I was completely amazed at the immersive depth of Oculus Rift, it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced. We played the Chernobyl escape and it’s so realistic you find yourself getting distracted just wandering around looking at the amazing detail than actually playing the game.

The staff could not have been cooler. From getting you geared up with your headsets, to instructing you on gameplay and just talking about all things gaming in general, they’re definitely passionate about what they’re doing here and they should be. We’ll definitely be back very soon.

We had an amazing time in future shock. It’s set up was in temple bar under the Irish rock museum which was so cool. But when they move to tallaght that’s closer to where we live so we will go there more often when they do! We had so much fun and there are so many games to play was class. When we finished the escape room before the hour we got to play the other arcade games which were class too

Spent a fun hour trying to escape the lost pyramid with my 11 and 13 year olds. Padraig was very welcoming and guided us along when we needed help. This was our first VR experience and it blew our minds. It was kind of surreal actually being inside the game. The kids can’t wait to go back again and they were even dreaming about it.

We had a party for ten 9 year old boys - they all loved it! Conor and Karl were so helpful throughout. The kids picked various different games over an hour and they were all exhausted by the end! We got take away from Bel Cibo (pizza and chips) and had it there - again thanks to Conor and Karl for all their help and a great party!!

Went there with my two friends to try something different. Surprisingly, we all had such an amazing time! It was one of the best evenings I had in a good while. Connor was very helpful and patient while we were getting used to how the games were. Would and have definetly recommend a visit here to my friends and everyone that wants to have a good time.

This place is very wery well maintained, gives fantastic VR experience. You can either go solo or in groups and share a VR booth as well. People are very friendly and flexible with our requirements. I visited three times so far in last 40 days or so. Once we booked multiple booths and shared across 7-8 people. Next two times we booked our own booth. You can either book half an hour or one. After an hour I felt tired so I would recommend going for o e hour max.

My 17 yo has visited Future Shock couple of times now . He always has a great time , staff are always really helpfull .
