The food was quite tasty and very reasonably priced.

We visited Ellie McGuires, located just beside the service station in Ballindine on a trip form Galway to Sligo. Despite the somewhat bland exterior and café-like layout the food was quite tasty and very reasonably priced. It was very busy while we were there but we were able to get a table for four. There was a reasonable choice of food and very good prices – roast of day only 10.95 €, chicken curry and fish and chips both under 13€. We had a ten-year old with us who really enjoyed the spaghetti. The place does not have an alcohol licence but people seemed to have brought their own drink.

Great food great service

We had the all day breakfast and the salmon. Food was divine and tea was good too. Service was attentive and food was served quickly and fresh and hot. Also great care and attention to covid restrictions and very clean. Thank you

Always stop on our N17 Trip

Well we have been stopping here for years on our trip form Sligo to Galway or Galway to Sligo. The staff are so friendly and helpful and get to know you over the years. Gluten free option are so well highlighted on the menu. Since Covid 19 arrival its great to see all the changes the girls have put in place for their own safety and ours, from the door in to when you leave eveyrthing is so well done............Seafood Chowder and all day breakfasts are our favourites..............well done all.

Great Road Trip Stop

Travelling from Limerick to Donegal, this was a great place to stop off for a break. We got the all day breakfast and spaghetti bolognese (kids menu). Food was cooked fresh and tasted great plus the service was friendly.

Great food

We ate at this restaurant today, the food is always good here, we always call in on our way from galway, I had the Thai fish cakes which came with a side salad and my husband had the all day fry which came with lovely treacle bread both meals were excellent, the place is comfortable and all the staff are friendly and helpful

Delicious!

Traveling from Castlebar to Limerick, this was a great stop. I got the seafood chowder, it was the best I’ve ever had. My companion got vegetable soup & grilled cod. All very good. Bathrooms are A+. Service was great. Highly recommend!

As a graduate in H&C Mgmt in 1989, my faith in hospitality has been restored. Proper training so evident here. They are are credit and my mother was treated with so much respect. She was made feel so important and she loved every minute of the experience. A little Gem in the middle of a small town.
