Great food and service

Visited this resteraunt on a Wednesday evening in September. We went in early at 5pm and were the only diners but it soon filled up so must be popular. Food was excellent, lots of it and not too expensive. Service was good, polite, prompt and helpful. Would definitely visit again if in Galway

Great Quality

The food was very good quality and really nice. The peshwari naan was the nicest one we have had. We tried the chicken biryani and it was great, the chicken was really tender.

Eastern Tandoori in Galway has many happy customers.

This restaurant makes a nice alternative to the many European and Irish restaurants in the area. Got a pleasant welcome and a table by the window, with a view of the Museum and the Spanish Arch area, with Galway Harbour in the background. Strict social was in place, which was reassuring. The décor is very pleasing and Eastern exotic – with purple for the walls and a light red for chairs. The atmosphere was lightened by ornaments, such as an impressive urn, placed about the restaurant itself, which is very spacious and cozy. Onion Bhaji was the starter, with chopped onions & ground lentil mixed with herbs, and spices. For the main course a full seabass in a marinade of fresh turmeric, garlic and red chili powder, washed down by Cobra beer. There is a varied vegetarian menu also as well as lamb Boti kebab and Biryani specials, including prawn biryani prepared with saffron, mild spices and served with raita and basmati rice. Service was quite attentive and the meal was completed with coffee and a small chocolate mint. Eastern Tandoori in Galway has many happy customers.
