Lunch

Eat here yesterday with a friend. Saw no menu but ordered at the counter and took our seat that just became free outside. I had a chilli,lime and chicken wrap yummy came with a side salad which was beautiful. Cant wait to visit again and will def tell people to try it out. Looked lovely and clean too. Also very happy with the price I paid. Well done.

Great food, good prices, friendly staff, but since closed down

This was truly a lovely restaurant. The food was of very high quality. The brunch, with scrambled eggs, bacon, and sourdough bread was lovely. The lamb tajine was a favourite. You really couldn't go wrong. Felicity and Tom, the owners, were friendly and considerate hosts, and I never had a bad experience in the years of eating there. Unfortunately Drakes closed recently, which is a big loss to the city.

Hidden Gem

Found this hidden gem on one cold wet november afternoon. was about to go past when a customer was leaving and tod us it was outstanding. went in to a lovely clean smart dining room and went for the excellent irish stew,wow just wow it was amazing and for cork prices very reasonable. wetherspoons was more expensive highly recommend this wonderful place with lovely staff also

Fantastic Specials

On a quiet Monday night, I visited Drakes before going to the Opera House. I had a lovely Rib-Eye steak and the chips were divine. I can really recommend the restaurant for dining in the evening before attending the Opera House. Its only a step away. All the food there is so good. They do a fantastic brunch and lunches as well.

Favourite place

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Nicest owners you could meet, almost like family we come here so often. Great food, coffee and excellent service. Dog friendly. Seating area outside. 10/10

Best breakfast in cork city

I work in the city centre, every friday my colleagues and i go for breakfast. Drakes is by far the best we have had. All food freshly cooked, no pre made under the heat lamp business. Friendly staff, wonderfull coffee and delicious toast. Will be back next Friday !!!

Hidden Gem

We have eaten here twice in past 2 weeks. Drake's is located just off Patrick Street next to all the popular Burger restaurants. This place is incredible, it is a real Mediterranean style restaurant, you actual would think you are in Spain of France. The food is top class with a varied and extensive menu. The prices are very reasonable. Most restaurants these days compete by offering the latest gins and cocktails. Drake's just does good food with a nice wine menu and selection of beers. I would highly recommend this place.
