Great Meal
Had a family meal here to celebrate Mums 89th birthday. Great food, great service, great ambience - couldn’t fault anything. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and made Mum feel very special. Thank you, great evening

Well what can I say..... absolutely outstanding ! My wife and I frequented this hotel regularly when we lived in the area 18 years ago and we loved it , from the moment you walk in the door the staff are genuinely welcoming and family friendly ,they really make you feel at home if not one of their family ..the ambiance and decor are excellent but the food sets it miles above anything we have experienced in the UK . We now live in the Highlands of Scotland but thought whilst over visiting family we should try a few old haunts and take our little son with us.The Downshire did not let us down ... A real clap on the back to You all,,, you have kept your standards high for the past 18 years If not more and we will most certainly be back and will also be recommending this little Gem of mid Ulster to all we know who pass that way on their travels …

This was my 50th birthday which I thoroughly enjoyed (a little too much????????) wow what a fantastic time we all had in our group
Just had an amazing stay at this outstanding establishment The 5 days we stayed was so relaxing with all members of staff doing there upmost to make your vacation/break memorable. The food outstanding with a variety of choices on the menu/specials From a portion of chips to roast dinners the quality was always of a high standard. You certainly are made most welcome from the minute your walk in to the moment you leave I would highly recommend that you try this very popular place to stay...eat...or just a social drink you won't be disappointed????

Love it!
We would go now and again and just love it. The food fantastic, staff friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is like a proper pub should be. We would recommend the fillet steak although there are vegetarian options if that's your thing. They also serve a very nice freshly made breakfast but I would recommend you phoning the day before to book it.
