Some of the best Italian food I've eaten. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Enjoyed every bite! Wine and dessert were excellent also.

A delight to the taste buds 5 stars

Not often thinking about booking on a Friday on the 8th October coming from Baltimore. the whole city was a buzz on a humid cloudy night. We rand and by luck we got the last table. We knew Miro from another restaurant and we so waited to eat in his. Well where to start, on arrival we where early so had a prosecco in Gallagher's on the corner and they rang us when the table was ready. A set menu is served and well balanced something for everyone's taste buds I had the mixed plate of Italian meats and cheeses Devine! however my partner had the gnocchi this was the best we have ever had and it will stay with us forever. For mains we had homemade pasta vegetarian, and a lasagna of pumpkin which was vegetarian. Saying that they have meat and fish it just happened we took the vegetarian options and as a meat eater I can say I was stuffed... The wine list is just perfect for the food they serve. This place deserves it Michelin recommendation and its food has surpassed any starred restaurant we have visited in Ireland or around the world. The service is welcoming and polite and your always welcomed by the host Mirco. We will be back and I will tell everyone this is the place to eat in cork city A true 5 star delight Thank you Stephen and Johannes

A Truly Amazing Taste of Italy

When planning a recent visit to Cork we booked 'da Mirco' on the strength of the reviews on TripAdvisor. This restautrant has been awarded a Michelin plate which is hardly surprising given the high standard of the cuisine. I can highly recommend this restaurant because apart from the quality of the food I felt it represented value for money - the restaurant though simple in style has a nice ambience about it and the attention of the chef-proprietor added greatly to the sense of occasion. We both had the Parmigiana di Melanzane because it is one of the most beautiful Italian starters - this was a very authentic Italian offering, surpassing our expectations. My wife then had monkfish which was one of the dishes of the day and I had a vegetarian pasta dish which was very tasty. The pasta was spagghettoni (a thick spagghetti) which I would usually avoid - but I decided that as this was what the chef had decided on and I'd go with the flow. I was glad I did -it was excellent. The chef is more than accommodating if one wanted to make a substitution - but he obviously knows his food. All the combinations worked perfectly. We were quite full after our meal but enquired about Vin Santo and it was available, we wondered did they serve it 'con cantucci' - they didn't but he suggested bringing us some homemade almond biscuits which were every bit as good - if not better. This was our first time in da Mirca but I sincerely hope it won't be our last.

The only true Italian place in Cork

If you want real italian food, this is the only place in Cork you can get it. The owner really cares about the quality and seasonality of food, and you can taste that in every dish. This is my favourite place in Cork.

A delicious little corner of Italy by the Lee.

I have been meaning to get in here for at least 2 years on the recommendation of a friend but life and covid delayed me. What a lovely restaurant, delicious food, and great service. As Arnie said, "I'll be Back"

Best food ever

This was the best meal I’ve had in years!! Highly, highly recommended. Just a tip - the portions are not huge so I would get a starter, primi piatto and a main course. That’s certainly not a downside, since you can try a lot more of their dishes. Fantastic place.

Best Italian restaurant in Cork

I have been in this restaurant for dinner with my boyfriend. For the very first time, I can say I’ve been in a real Italian restaurant since I’m abroad. Excellent food and service!!
