The friendliest bar in the world

Just got back today and rarely give reviews but this bar is a must for anyone staying in Kealkill. The staff and locals could not have been friendlier and when we turned up thinking they served food with 4 tired kids in tow, the landlady ordered us pizza and let us eat it in the bar. Great bar , people and beer. We will be back

Perfectly Basic

Stopped in here a few times now, just for a pint or two. Great stove warming the place, nice atmosphere. A real country pub with no frills, just great hospitality.

Review by ’Ruby’

Whilst house sitting for friends one of the dogs ’Ruby’ went walkabout and fell in with some ’ Russian’ walkers on the road to Kealkill. They took her to ’Collins’ where she was looked after in royal fashion and they took steps to trace us successfully on social media. Any place that takes the time to look after a wandering dog must be a great place to visit.

Hungry folks

I happened to be in Kealkik at a funeral and had to queue for over 2 hours. I ran into the pub to get some crisps and chocolate for my young son. The lady behind the bar said "Are you part of funeral party, have you travelled far?"
I said yes and yes!! Come in and we will have tea and sandwiches for you in minutes. We did. What a warm welcome we received. She was so attentive and friendly and even gave my son a free bag crisps. So head on over to Collins Bar in Kealkil. You will be guaranteed a warm welcome and great hospitality. Well done.

St Patricks Day

Best place to spend St Patricks Day in a great Irish Pub waiting for the Kealkill Parade to start! Great atmosphere and hospitality, no food being served but the Guinness more than made up for it along with the youngsters providing the Irish dancing in the back bar. Need to get back to Collins Bar and sample the food!

Sunday lunch just grand

There’s something nice out Sunday Lunch in a warm and friendly place where the food tastes just like home.
Collins’ has a front bar and a lounge area which doubles as the eatery.
There is a varied menu with choice of starter, main course and deserts.
And value for money was tops: soup, fish course, desert and coffee all for €25. Can’t beat that!
