Claire The Bakers, Carndonagh

We had a very tasty lunch here on our way back from Malin Head. Food was very fresh, hot and yummy!! Service was fast and courteous.

We had a lovely morning coffee and scone at this restaurant. Scone was freshly baked and tasted beautiful. Coffee was very good. Will return.

The staff are nice and the food is nice, the coffee and the sweet things are lovely, would recommend to visit

I recently ordered some items from Claire's to send to my family as I couldn't visit them during Covid-19 restrictions. They got back to me really quickly about my order, payment was easy over the phone and the baked goods were delivered to my family on time and with a friendly chat. The feedback about the quality was excellent. Would definitely recommend this to treat family and friends with deliveries of goodies to their doors!

Visited this lovely bakery come restaurant with my wife. The pastries look amassing, I had a panini and a cinnamon bun both were delicious. I can see why this place has won so many awards. We will be back the next time we are in Inishowen peninsula.

Brunch/ lunch/ coffees & treats is what they specialize in. The staff are so friendly, polite and well trained. Ive honestly never had a bad meal there! Their best dish is the (epic) house chicken salad (with chorizo), very very closely followed by the goats cheese panini. (Although theres a lot to be said for their stuffed jacket potatoes & quiches too- yum). The biggest thing about a trip to Claire the bakers is trying to make a decision as to what treat to have after lunch. There’s about four different brownies alone and that’s before you even get into the variety of cakes/ cheesecakes/cupcakes & tray bakes they have. Everything is super compliant of social distancing and there seems to be very good hygiene practices in place etc etc. It genuinely is just a great wee place to eat. While I grew up in carn I’ve lived away for a good few years now, but from any time I’ve been in, It’s so easy to see why every single local person has nothing but the very highest of praise for this fantastic wee business. It’s been running for ten years which speaks for itself when you think of the amount of businesses who have come and gone. Without even knowing them personally it’s very clear that the two owners are very hard working, friendly and simply lovely people. No request is too big or small. During Covid 19, they had collection and delivery of pasteries and afternoon tea boxes throughout the community. They brought smiles to so many during that time. Their wee cafe has housed millions of catch ups and special moments. It is well worth a stop along the wild Atlantic way! (The SuperValu beside it does good booze deals too for anyone is air BnBing????)
