Home from Home
Great to be back again. We having being coming here annually for a number of years so after lockdown we were glad to be back in Rosscarbery again. Some changes this year in the lines of new double glazed windows and doors whilst still maintaining the cottage feel. Also towels provided an added bonus. Location has always been a draw for us here...beaches are a small distance away..the lagoon activity centre and the town itself plus the Abbey bar just a few doors up....Thanks to Kate and the team for the years of enjoyment we've had here and many more to come.

Very enjoyable family holiday in Celtic Cottages
The cottage had everything we needed for a family of six, including a washer dryer, two showers and three toilets. The location is fantastic for exploring West Cork. The cottages are in the welcoming village of Rosscarbery which has a good shop and pubs just a minutes stroll away from the house. The nearest beach, Warren Strand, is lovely and is within walking distance - 2.5 km away and there are many other beautiful beaches a short drive away. Ask locally about which beaches are safe to swim on, some have rip currents. We swam on Red Strand beach. The Rosscarbery lagoon activity centre is a two minute walk away. This is a great watersports facility for all the family with kayaking, SUP and pedalos, large enough to be enjoyable and is very safe with three foot deep water. Rates are very reasonable and staff are very friendly. There is so much to do nearby, with fantastic wildlife. We lit the open fire one night which was very cosy. We had a very relaxing holiday and would definitely return. Many thanks Kate and staff! …

Clean,comfortable,fantastic location.Close to Kayaking,bars,restraunts.Excellent staff.
We stayed in August 2019. Weather was fab and we eat breakfast every day in the garden. Very clean bedrooms and bathrooms . Kate and her staff always available for any questions .Safe parking. Homely old fashioned Irish Cottage style accomodation. As a group we had 2 cottages next door to each other. We lit the fire in the evening and played board games which were provided. We hope to return again soon and enjoy the true hospitality of West Cork. A beautiful little cat would visit us every day , and we love cats , so that was really nice too. Thank you for a great holiday Kate and staff.!

Irish hospitality at its best
We stayed at Celtic Cottages in June this year and had the best holiday. The cottage is oldy worly but is very well appointed with everything you would need for a two week stay plus washing machine, tumble dryer and dish washer. It was very comfortable, including the beds, can't say enough about the quality of the beds, we slept very well while we were there. There was an open fire place and we had a log fire every night, not because it was cold, just because we could. The cottages are part of Rosscarberry village so you are close to everything you need to be, including 4 restaurants , a take away, 3 pubs, a supermarket, local shops and a hotel with a leisure centre. It was enough to keep us entertained for the fortnight and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Kate, who owns the cottages, and her team are there on call to help if you need them for anything but in general we found that the locals were extremely helpful and made us feel like part of the community while we were there. Can't wait to go back. …
