I was disappointed

Hello. I came here to visit the casino building. I was left perplexed because I couldn’t find the roulette tables. Nice views. Thank you

Finally got to see the invite of beautiful Casino at Marino

Aoife gave us a wonderfully entertaining and informative tour about James Caulfield’s beautiful summer house, pointing out all the house’s idiosyncrasies. The group had young and old and our guide handled questions from all making it accessible to the children and interesting for the adults. The inside is beautiful and it was fun seeing how the architect met the challenge of following Georgian style principles. There are toilets and limited parking. Definitely worth a visit!

Little house by the Sea

OPW have done a very good job on the restoration and it looks great! Free admission and the guided tour is about an hour and worth a visit.
As a fellow OPW guide myself I found the staff helpful.
This is a little gem, and worth visiting.
It’s near Glasnevin Cemetery and the national Botanical Gardens also.
Enjoyed the visit.

A Charlemont gem.

Charlemont was a man with many interests. He was in the volunteers of the 1780’s. Also very involved with RIA. The casino showed that he had great taste in archecture. A magnificent neoclassical building. Well worth a visit.

Interesting structure

This is an impressive folly building from the outside. Unfortunately the interior is undergoing maintenance by the Office of Public Works so is only rarely. Worth seeing

A Bit of Dublin History

Most Dubliners have never been inside. Easy to access by public transport as just on edge of city. Guided Tour only cost a few euro & guides have all the history, tall tales & short stories! You’ll be finished in a hour, leaving plenty of time to visit more historic sites.

Stunning Building

This is NOT a Casino as we know Casino’s today!!! Casino in Italian means Small House, It was built in the 1700’s as an entertainment house for the 1st Earl of Charlemont. It is a stunning Building and not to be missed if you love Architecture and Interiors. It has been restored to its former glory by the OPW (Office of Public Works).
