Casey's Bar &Restaurant, Kenmare

We've just finished up a week's holidays in Kenmare and ate here on 2 occasions. To say that we were delighted with everything is an understatement. Super service, lovely menu, very family friendly and great value for money. I was hesitant to go here at all as I found out that its the same owners as No 35 Kenmare who aren't allowing children. In a post lockdown world where teens and families have been restricted more than most it's a dangerous precedent to tell families with teenagers or kids of any age that they are unwelcome in a restaurant. Glad I changed my mind however as the food was superb on both occasions. On Sunday I had a rump of lamb with creamed potato, roast veg and rosemary jus. The little lad had the same and we were both in agreement that it was the best lamb we've ever had. Last night I had the chicken Korma which was equally delicious. Also tried the burger and the buttermilk chicken burger and they were faultless. I've been disappointed in a few restaurants in the post covid world but it's great to see that there are still some places that are putting such effort into plating up food with such quality. Probably a few euro more than you'd typically pay but worth every cent on the quality of the food alone. Go there. You won't be disappointed. We will be back

They do have an outdoor dining area but they make it easy to dine inside for those that have been vaccinated. You order at the counter and they deliver your food to your table. The choices on the menu are more than adequate ranging from simple to full meals. We shared a Chicken Curry and Lasagna. Seemingly an odd combo but it was very satisfying. We have been in Ireland for one week now and this is the second time that lasagna has been served with chips. It works for us. Save room for dessert. They are made in house by Casey, I presume.

It's a little pricer than most places in the main street but with out the wait for a table worth it. The guy looking after us was friendly and up for a laugh. The food was excellent and service very friendly. The Guinness was excellent and the best pt I had in Kenmare.

Excellent food and very attentive staff. The food was so good and staff so accommodating to us and our two kids we went back a second night for dinner . Amazingly one of the staff members remembered my five year old child’s name from the night before . Staff couldn’t do enough and food was delicious . Due to COVID restrictions it was difficult to run a business but they made the beat of the restrictions the government has imposed on them. Will be sure to return next year.

We were in Kenmare for 3 nights and we ate here on 2 nights. Absolutely fabulous food I highly recommend the black pudding aranchini starter ???? the staff were so nice. From start to finish - food - staff excellent. Highly recommend a visit.

We ate here during a recent holiday in Kenmare. It is worth booking in advance as it was popular and very busy when we were there. The staff were all wearing visors and tables were well spaced out. There was a good selection on the menu. I ordered the pork belly and my daughter ordered the ribs. The pork belly was probably the nicest that I had anywhere - it was so tasty and well presented. My daughter loved the ribs. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely return here again.

A must when in Kenmare - great options & excellent quality - do try their own artisan pork/bacon - just delish
