Ashford Lodge

we arrived after a long drive from the north to the lodge and have to admit we felt very welcome. We checked in and were taken to our room by young man and he explained in great detail layout and times for breakfast and bar etc. stunning room , massive and very clean. Great bed and great shower. We ate in the bar and had a great meal at a fair price. breakfast was amazing , super choice and very professional even with the near full occupancy we stayed 2 nights. staff were excellent especially Patricia who gave us directions for day trips and a quicker route home(thanks x) The receptionist who checked us in and out was lovely too. we have stayed at the hotel twice and it is amazing but found the people staying a bit pretentious. We had such an amzing time at Ashford Lodge this weekend. Great location, beautiful setting and very professional and friendly staff, made us feel at home. We had a great time! Breda and Noel Mahoney created and maintained a spotless, comfortable, charming, and well-placed B & B just a few minutes' walk from Listowel's town center. We had no idea what to expect upon arriving, but we were pleased beyond belief with our entire experience. The newly remodeled condition of the rooms; the delicious breakfast (served at the time of our choosing); the excellent directions (including the best way to get to the airport for our flight home); and, most of all, the heavenly company and hospitality helped make our stay in Listowel the apex of our visit to Ireland. The Kingdom of Kerry could have no better ambassadors than Breda and Noel. I look forward to sending all my friends and family here should they visit Ireland, and I hope to return soon.
