I loved this restaurant. It was inviting and charming. Service and food were both excellent. Seafood was memorable and the sticky toffee was the best I have ever had. I ended up eating here three times in my short stay in Dingle. Thank you.

One of our best mealsβ€”ever!

Can’t rave enough about our meal. Fresh crab app that was so fresh. Scallops and pork belly main along with a mushroom risotto that were so good, we’ll be thinking about them for years to come. Yum, yum, yum!

Ashes - never fails to deliver

Excellent meal with great menu options. Staff were very friendly and informed. Our fish dishes just had that beautiful clean fresh feel with sauces that were Devine but not overpowering.

Top quality Dingle Seafood

5 ⭐food and top class service. Booking at short notice but we were lucky they had some availability. 3 of us had 3 different seafood main courses. All were excellent. Thanks Ashes.

Rising from the Ashes

During a recent trip to Dingle, we booked a table for dinner recently in Ashes Restaurant. It has been so tough for establishments such as this throughout the Coronavirus pandemic and even to this date, there was only outside dining allowed. The first thing to say is that the food was excellent, Ciara had Crab Dumplings and I had Gamba a pil pil to start. Ciara loved the dumplings and I thought the gamba was exactly as you would get in Spain. Turbot for me as a main course

Starters delightful - mains great.

Myself and my partner went here in mid-September and took the early bird option. I had the Glenbeigh steamed mussels with red Thai chili paste, coconut and coriander cream broth and my partner had the seafood chowder (is there any other type?). My mussels were simply divine - I like my chili dishes to be fairly robust and this really hit the spot - it was good and hot, the mussels were plentiful and IIRC, there was a bit of bread to soak up the delightful broth. I tasted my partner's chowder - thick, creamy and very full of good chunky fish pieces - I'm from a fishing town on the east coast and I consider that I make a mean chowder and this was among the best that I've ever tasted in a restaurant. We both had the "tempura of fresh local fish with home cut chips, salad and tartar" or as they called it in brackets "fish and chips" - I would add "posh" to that. Salad a lovely little complement to the dish with a nice dressing and the batter was perfect - very fine, thin and crispy. The fish was hake, of which I'm not a great fan - not too much taste in my opinion. If I were the owner/chef, I might consider offering a smoked fish as a possible alternative - for me, that would have been a clincher! Two small niggles - the waitress asked 5 (yes, five) times if we wanted anything to drink - once is normal, two is OK, three... hmm, but 4 & 5 were definitely a pain - if we'd wanted alcohol, we could have requested it! Also, the bill took some time in coming when we requested it, but compared to the lovely food, as I said, these niggles were minor. We didn't take dessert.

Tasty, friendly, clean - have the pudding

Girls weekend away and it was amazing. Food was tasty and fresh. The wine menu is great. Lemon gin with homemade elderflower. Save space for the sticky toffee pudding !!!!!! Staff are friendly and fun. Recommend for a meal with good drinks
