Almara Bed & Breakfast Dublin

We spent 3 nights in this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. This lovely accommodation should be used as a template for all other BnB's. Perfect. I shall return and I shall recommend highly, to others. my husband booked this for a surprise for our wedding anniversary. The Almara is perfectly situated in between Dublin airport and Dublin city centre, on a bus route with the bus stop outside the B&B. we were met on arrival by Maria who is very knowledgeable with bus times and advised us to download Dublin bus app as this gives you the times of the buses from outside and also the city centre. The room was lovely and had an en-suite bathroom lovely and warm and very well kept clean and tidy. Breakfast is in the dinning room between 7.30 and 9.15 breakfast is a choice of full irish or porridge( which i have to say is highly recommended) there is also pancakes with fresh fruit or bacon, scrambled eggs and bacon, there is also yogurt and fresh fruit (something for everyone), toast with either jam or marmalade the raspberry jam is to die for ( homemade neither sweet or bitter). Maria’s husband serves the breakfast and he reminded me of a little leprechaun as he would just appear to take your order. there is a tea coffee making facility in the lounge where you can help yourself. the only thing i would recommend to change would be to put the tea coffee facilities in the bedroom as if like me you wake up at between 1am and 3 and want a drink but don’t want to go downstairs. definitely come back here. …

We loved our stay at Almara BnB. From the moment we arrived (after 24hours of travel from Australia) we were greeted by Maria who was so friendly and nurturing. We stayed in room 6 which had an en-suite. The room is tidy and comfortable and was all we needed for our 3 night stay. Maria and Alan were both so nice, breakfast was delicious and they gave us lots of helpful tips! We even got to meet their dog who was very cute. The road traffic is a little noisy but didn’t bother us as the location here is great - nice and close to bus stops to get in and out of Dublin City. Thank you Maria & Alan - you are beautiful x
