Really great service and food

Delicious burger and chicken teriyaki (even though there was LOADS of sauce) Cup of tea, pints and whiskey - all great! Friendly table service and nice blankets to wrap up when it gets breezy - a lovely touch. Clean toilets. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Dining in comfort

We were delighted with the food and drink we had in Alfies and especially happy with the way the tables were set out ensuring perfect social distancing during this pandemic. Very comfortable dining experience.

Fabulous food

A friend and I had dinner last weekend in the Ashe and must compliment the food and service. The staff are very polite and we were happy with the Covid measures in place in the restaurant. I had the pork ribs which were delicious, so tender, and I couldn't finish them the portion was so generous. We had some lovely wine and my friend had an Expresso Martini Cocktail. Atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Delicious, hearty food

We stayed in the Ashe hotel for four nights. On three occasions (other than breakfast) we ate here. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Although the tables were socially distanced and separated by screens, there was still a lovely, warm atmosphere. Giant cookie to be recommended for dessert!

What a find! Scrumptious food with excellent service.

We popped in for brunch, ended up with a taste sensation. My husband wanted to try the mushrooms on toast, I went straight for the roast lamb. The superb Maitre d’ brought an extra fork as I looked so longingly at the mushrooms. They had melted Brie on top with mustard seeds with pea leaves. Oh my. It was a very good plate of food. The roast lamb, gravy and perfectly creamed potatoes were to die for, I savoured every mouthful. Even the reception staff helped to describe the wonderful mono photos that so interested me. Loved the place. It was 1st class but so well priced. €13 for perfect roast pork!
